SMS Communication for Good-Will Enforcement
IMMEDIATE
Good-will enforcement doesn't wait to notify the homeowner
Traditional means of enforcement, such as a sticky note on the door or a letter in the mail can be missed by homeowners who are on vacation, or even those who commonly enter their home through the garage.  These missed messages cause anger and frustration.  SMS communication is delivered immediately, and is rarely missed.  90% of text messages are read within 3 minutes.
CLEAR AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND
Good-will enforcement is clear about the problem
Traditional snail-mail and sticky-note methods of enforcement rely on general, broad text descriptions of the problem to inform the homeowner, and are often confusing and misunderstood.  SMS communication can include clear photographs of the problem.
CLEAN
Good-will enforcement doesn't litter the neighborhood with notifications
Traditional sticky notes have a tendency to become un-stuck and blow around the neighborhood.  SMS communication is clean, requires no physical materials, and is friendly to trees.
ALLOWS FOR CLARIFICATION
Good-will enforcement allows the homeowner to communicate back with the HOA
Traditional snail-mail and sticky-note communication has a huge drawback: they are one-way methods of communication.  When text messages are used for enforcement, the homeowner can ask questions for clarification of the rules and the problem that has been noted.
ENCOURAGING
Good-will enforcement includes messages of encouragement and positive reinforcement
A note on the door is always bad news, and sparks feelings of fear and anger.  With Simpli-FYI, you can send your community members holiday well-wishes, congratulations to the winner of the 'Yard of the Month', and engender feelings of support and togetherness.
PREFERRED
Good-will enforcement uses the methods of communication that people prefer
Texting is the most frequently-used form of communication by Americans under 50.  33% of all adults and 77% of 18-22 year-olds prefer text messaging to ALL other forms of communication, including face-to-face.

How Does It Work?
HOA posts the dedicated HOA phone number at the neighborhood entrance.  Board members' personal phone numbers are kept private and not released to the community.
Community members and/or CC&R enforcers use their cell phones to text questions, comments, and photographs to the dedicated HOA phone number.
Incoming text messages appear in the SimpliFYI web app.  Any board member with the password can log in to view and respond to messages, or initiate messages to individuals or the whole community.
